Most of us race against ourselves.
We want to improve our PR in our events.
We want to try that half-marathon because it’s a challenge and will stretch our abilities.
Why do you need a running coach?
A good running coach will understand your goals, your needs, and your past, someone who will push at the right times, and understand why you need to back off at others.
I can help you create a balance of endurance, intervals, yoga, and strength training to build the adaptations you need to get faster and stronger.
A Running Coach Who Understands Balance
Two things set me apart from other coaches:
First, I have a broad and unique collection of personal experiences, knowledge, and research from decades of endurance sports, including cycling, running, cross-country skiing, even rowing.
These years of learning and experience help me understand what you will need to achieve your goals.
Second, I use a unique holistic approach to getting you faster and building more endurance. We blend run training together with strength training, yoga, and mental toughness work.
And as a retired middle school teacher, I’m going to make your learning fun, interesting, and fruitful.
Running is FUNdamentally Simple
I take all of my experience, education and research, and the holistic approach to support you in your quest for PRs/PBs or just a better run.
I’ve learned a lot about training and how our bodies work to adapt and get stronger and faster.
Supporting runners in their quest to accomplish their goal events means providing the running coaching that’s needed.
I am a certified RRCA running coach, USA Cycling coach, an RYT-200 yoga instructor, and Personal Trainer and Nutrition with Action Personal Training.
I was also a middle-school English teacher for 23 years, and I bring a teacher’s growth mindset to my coaching.
